YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS

One Montana provides a suite of experiential, project-based programs for educators and high-school students to enhance teaching and learning about entrepreneurship

Our Young Entrepreneur initiatives embody One Montana's ongoing commitment to developing entrepreneurship-related programs for high school students and for the dedicated educators who nurture them. These initiatives are designed to increase high school graduation rates, help students consider viable career pathways, enhance their lifelong skillsets, and empower youth to see themselves as playing critical roles in Montana's future. Since 2012 we have collaborated with all levels of Montana's educational infrastructure and our state's business sector to provide high school students with project-based initiatives to unleash their natural curiosity and innovative spirit for the creation of prototypes and actual businesses that address the challenges they see in their schools and communities.

SCHOOL TO SCHOOL
EXCHANGE

The School to School Exchange program builds on our Rural-Urban Student Entrepreneur Exchange Program which One Montana managed from 2012 – 2017, and from which the Roundup and the Start-Up Academy were developed. To continue to inspire students to innovate for the economic advancement and wellbeing of their communities, we are revisioning a program that will travel to students in rural communities and particularly tribal communities.

Our long-term aspirational goal is that the students participating in our programs will continue to draw upon the innovation methodologies they learn through our programs and use it throughout their lives—to help choose career pathways, create businesses, enhance their families' lives, become effective leaders within their communities.
