William L. Bryan founded One Montana (formerly known as the Cook Center/ Rural Landscape Institute) in 2003, leading the organization as its Executive Director. Bill has over 40 years of experience in startup and organizational development of for-profit and nonprofit businesses, including 25 years' experience in agritourism planning, education and promotion. Furthermore, he is the only person in Montana serving on both Presidential Advisory Councils of the two flagship universities. He was the co-founder of Off the Beaten Path, a premier travel planning service for destinations in the Western Hemisphere, and was part of Off the Beaten Path's executive team for 27 years. Bill has been on the board of many different national, regional and local organizations including the Center for Responsible Travel, Resource Renewal Institute, Clean Air - Clean Planet, Museum of the Rockies (board chair), Yellowstone Business Partnership and the Eisenhower World Affairs Institute. Bill holds a Ph.D. in resource planning and conservation from the University of Michigan. As Executive Director, Dr. Bryan takes a lead role in fundraising and public relations.

Molly Thompson joined One Montana (formerly the Rural Landscape Institute) as Program Manager in 2004. Prior to that, she was a senior travel planner for Off the Beaten Path and the treasurer of Gallatin Valley Farm to School. Molly holds a B.A. from Cornell University. As Finance and Operations Manager, Molly manages the organization's financial, operational, and human resource functions, and she assists with fundraising and program efforts.

Zach Brown is a Program Manager for One Montana's Resilient Montana program. He currently serves in the Montana Legislature, where his committee work has focused on taxation, wildlife management, and water policy. His background includes leading a research project at Georgetown University, and he focused his University of Montana studies on fisheries management, water policy and climate change, obtaining a BA in environmental studies.

Jim Masker is a Program Assistant for the Rural-Urban Student and Entrepreneur Exchange. Jim joined One Montana having developed educational programs for schools and nonprofit organizations in the United States and internationally. Along the way he worked with Butte-based National Center for Appropriate Technology and the Big Hole River Foundation, for which he served as a member of the Big Hole River Watershed Committee. Jim holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts.

Madison joined the staff in January 2016 through a collaboration of the Montana Association of Conservation Districts (MACD), the Montana Watershed Coordination Council (MWCC) and One Montana. Madison graduated from Hendrix College in Arkansas with a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies. Most recently she worked as a farm hand at Heifer Farm in Rutland, MA. She'll be with One Montana through November.
