What will you learn during your Montana Start-up Academy experience?
Participants will learn how to work collaboratively to define important problems worth solving in their schools and communities. Each team will choose a problem to tackle as a potential business opportunity and will learn how to apply the principles of Design Thinking and Business Model Canvas to develop business prototypes.
Participant-- "I learned that teamwork is the best way to come up with new ideas because everyone has a unique perspective and more perspectives are better. I really had fun and enjoyed working with new people."
Participants will learn how to do market research, design iteration, prototying, and to give and receive constructive feedback throughout all phases of the business development process. They will continually present their ideas to teammates, to the other teams, and to our mentors from the business community in order to "fine tune" their products and business plans.
Parent-- "They lit a fire under him. He's thinking about college now!"

After 3 days of intensive classroom mentoring, field trips, and interactive meetings with entrepreneurs, students will have learned the step-by-step process of starting businesses and will be ready to present their pitches to a team of investors.
Participant-- "It was a phenomenal program! If you had no idea what entrepreneurship was when you came, you would know 110% when you leave."
